Granting Vehicle by ICRC to RCST

In May 15, 2012 in the main office of Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan was held a ceremony of granting of vehicle TOYOTA-LAND CRUISER by the Representation of International Committee of Red Cross in Tajikistan to Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan.

This process was implemented by Severin Shappaz, the head of International Committee of Red Cross.

It should be noted that, since December, 1992, the ICRC has been working in Tajikistan. It is supporting the authorities in Tajikistan in promoting IHL and other humanitarian norms and their integration into national legislation, academic curricula and the practices of military and security forces.

In Tajikistan the ICRC works jointly with the Red Crescent Society. The two organizations raise the local population’s awareness of the serious threat posed by landmines and other unexploded remnants of war and promote a legal framework on the issue of missing persons and supporting vulnerable people.

Соглашение между ОКПТ и МККК о реализации проектов, приносящих дохода для филиалов ОКПТ в Раштской долине

Соглашение о реализации проектов, приносящих дохода для филиалов ОКПТ в Раштской долине  подписано между Обществом Красного полумесяца Таджикистана и Международным Комитетом Красного Креста сегодня, пятница 27.04.2012 г.

Данное Соглашение обеспечивает обеими сторонами укрепление потенциала филиалов ОКПТ для реагирования на потребности уязвимых семей их регионов, и определяет роль индивидуальные обязательство сторон.

Основная цель Данного Соглашения направлена на принятие и реализации проектов, приносящих доходов для филиалов ОКПТ в Раштской долины и должны служить укреплению способности ОКПТ, давая ему возможность способствовать удовлетворению нужд уязвимых семей и формирования доходов для местных действий гуманитарного характера.

An agreement between RCST and ICRC

Agreement on implementation of projects that giving revenue to RCST branches in Rasht was signed between the Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan and the International Committee of the Red Cross today, on Friday, 27.04.2012.

This agreement provides both parties on the issue of strengthening the capacity of the RCST branches to respond to the needs of vulnerable families in their regions, and defines the role of the individual obligation of the parties.

The main purpose of this Agreement is aimed at the adoption and implementation of projects that bring revenue to RCST branches in the Rasht Valley and should serve to strengthen the capacity of the RCST, giving it the opportunity to contribute to meeting the needs of vulnerable families and income generation for local actions of a humanitarian nature.

Extended meeting of the Central Board of RCST

In 12.04.2012 was held extended meeting of the Central Board of RCST with the participation of Board member, employees of RCST, representative of donor organizations, as ICRC, IFRC, Holland RC and German RC.

The following topics were included in the agenda:

-          About activities according to charter and implementation of financial plans of RCST in first quarter  2012;

-          About the implementation process of the Program on Primary Organizational Development;

-          About the Regulations and structure of the Disaster Management Department and other current issues.

Meeting was opened by the President of RCST, Mirojov G. Q, All topics drafts in the agenda were supported by the Board members.

Zafar Muhabbatov – General Secretary of RCST made a brief speech on activities of RCST.

According to agenda topics made speech K. Hamdullozoda, head of Economic and Finance Department, K. Abdulloev, coordinator of Program on Primary Organizational Development, Sh. Sangov, head of Disaster Management Department, O. Niyozov, head of Department of Logistics Department of the Central Board of RCST and the regional chairmen of RCST.

Besides, responsible bodies informed on their preparation for the Red Crescent month.

Except of agenda topics, A. Miraliev, a member of Central Board of RCST proposed as a gender balance,  to nominee a female candidate as a deputy General Secretary of RCST. This proposal was supported by the Central Board of RCST and after this extended meeting according to election process Dilorom Mirova was selected as a deputy General Secretary of RCST instead of Nazar Valiev.
